Sometimes, your therapist may recommend Intensive Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Other times, you may elect to jump right into an Intensive, for a variety of reasons.

EMDR is a powerful therapy designed to ease distress from traumatic memories. Intensive sessions, lasting 5 to 8 hours or up to 2 days, provide a focused space for deep healing. Whether in person or virtual, a sense of safety required for a supportive environment will be tailored to each person’s specific therapeutic needs.

Using bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements, taps, or sounds, clients reprocess trauma, reduce emotional distress, and develop healthier coping strategies. An intensive’s mission is to address trauma at its core while empowering individuals on their path to healing and wholeness, as promptly as possible - without missing any crucial steps in the process.
